01. Age Parameters

All Operatives deployed to VOID#002: Operation Rose Mary must ensure their characters are at least 18 years old by 1973. No exceptions. That means your character should be born in or before 1955.

This is in line with legal frameworks of the 1970s, where many U.S. states—particularly in the South—had lowered the age of majority to 18 following the ratification of the 26th Amendment. Operatives must be of age to legally enter and participate in activities within the club environment.

Characters who do not meet this age cutoff will be considered unfit for deployment.

02. Tone, Setting & Story Approach

• This project focuses on character development within a loosely structured story.
• While narrative prompts will be provided, you are free to engage through solo writing, collaborations, open interactions, or observational entries.
• Writing should stay consistent with the 1970s environment, but does not require historical accuracy—just enough to support immersion.
• Feel free to explore a wide range of professions, social roles, or personal histories relevant to the time.
• Operatives are asked to approach this space with care, curiosity, and a willingness to engage perspectives different from their own. Awareness, empathy, and nuance will take you further than assumption or certainty.

03. Communication & Technology Limits

• Technology is limited to what would be available in 1973.
• This includes: rotary phones, typewriters, polaroids, paper dossiers, reel-to-reel recorders, analogue radios, and face-to-face contact.
• Avoid modern references, gadgets, or digital forms of communication within in-character interactions.

04. Writing Expectations

• You are not required to do extensive plotting or research.
• However, you are expected to have a basic understanding of worldbuilding and character consistency.
• Most importantly, all Operatives are expected to write with care, respect, and a sense of place.

05. Interactions & Collaboration

• You are encouraged to collaborate and interact with other Operatives.
• Respect the setting and each character’s individual story while building shared narratives.
• VOID#002: Operation Rose Mary is a clean slate. In-character or out-of-character references to previous Voids—particularly jokes, lore, or interpersonal history from VOID#001: Sundown Protocol—are not permitted in the GDM.
